During my time as an engineer, I've seen plenty of poor-quality tools that clearly were not built with care. The businesses I've worked for have rarely had the time or willingness to build better alternatives, so I'm taking a chance and seeing whether I can do it myself.
As software engineering evolves, I believe the work is becoming more fun. But there are still plenty of boring tasks that have to be done manually or with tools that are not fit for purpose. My goal is to automate more of that work in a meaningful way, so engineers can spend more time building the exciting stuff.
